About Our ER Wait Time

ER wait time is the average wait time for a patient to see a registered nurse during the triage (evaluation) process in our ER. After patients are triaged (evaluated), they are seen by qualified medical professionals in priority order, according to their medical condition and reason for visit. Times are approximate and provided for information purposes only.

    When EMS is called, where you receive emergency care is your choice. For more than 50 years, Lake Huron Medical Center has been providing emergency care to patients throughout the area. Located at the northwest corner of the hospital, our 15-bed unit offers private rooms and dedicated parking.

    Our team is highly-qualified and specially trained in emergency care for patients of all ages.

We continue to develop and streamline our processes and services to meet the area’s emergency needs. Ensuring that when an emergency strikes, we are prepared, because in an emergency, minutes always matter.

    Lake Huron Medical Center is not only dedicated to providing lifesaving emergency medical care and treatment to individuals, but recognizes we are located in an area deemed “high-risk” for both natural and man-made disasters by the federal government. To be prepared for disasters that may occur locally, Lake Huron Medical Center constructed a dedicated HAZMT facility within its Emergency Department. What’s more, Lake Huron Medical Center Emergency Department staff routinely participate in disaster planning and preparedness meetings, activities and events both locally and throughout the Southeast Michigan region. The Lake Huron Medical Center Emergency Room Department personnel are not only dedicated to individual patients, but the entire community.
