Lake Huron Medical Center Announces Employee and Volunteer of the Year

Lake Huron Medical Center celebrated its employees and volunteers during a recognition event where the Employee and Volunteer of the Year were announced.

The 2016 Employee of the Year is Helen Yancey. Helen is the Food and Nutrition Supervisor and has been a member of the Lake Huron Medical Center team since November 1975. She was nominated by her peers because of her attention to detail, positive attitude and her willingness to go above and beyond. She anticipates the needs of her co-workers and always has a smile to share.

The 2016 Volunteer of the Year is Bernie Lee. Bernie is a volunteer courier who assists at the Greeter's Desk. She is known for her welcoming smile and passion for the hospital. Bernie assists in the recruiting and training of new volunteers and was nominated for her teamwork, and commitment to customer service.

The Customer Care Chain Leading by Example is a reminder that the ‘human touch’ can have a profound impact on every aspect of our mission. Lake Huron Medical Center extends a special thank you to Helen Yancey and Bernie Lee for making the Lake Huron Medical Center difference.
