What is the Lake Huron Medical Center Patient Portal?
LHMC Patient Portal offers patients personalized and secure online access to portions of their
medical records. It enables you to securely view information about your
health, including:
- Admit and discharge date
- Reason for hospitalization
- Lab results
- Physician Care team
- Medications
- Vital signs at discharge
- Care plan with goals and instructions
- Discharge information and instructions
- Radiology results
Is there a fee to use LHMC Patient Portal?
No. The Patient Portal is a free service from Lake Huron Medical Center.
How do I sign up?
During registration at the Lake Huron Medical Center, you’ll be asked
if you’d like to sign up for the LHMC Patient Portal. If you choose
to sign up, you’ll just need to provide an e-mail address where
we can send your invitation to join the Patient Portal.
How do I claim my invitation?
After you click on the link provided in the e-mail invitation, you’ll
be asked to confirm your identity. The step-by-step process will ask you
to provide your date of birth and the answer to the security question
you provided at the time of registration.
I didn't receive my invitation to the Patient Portal in my email, now what?
First check to see if your email provider has moved the email to your spam
or junk folder instead of your inbox. If you still cannot locate your
email invitation, please call Health Information Management at 810-216-1540
for assistance. Is that number still correct?
I don't have the last four digits of my MRN to complete the enrollment
process. How do I obtain it?

When can I see my test results in the LHMC Patient Portal?
Lab results are viewable in the Patient Portal as soon as the result is
final. Radiology results are viewable in the Patient Portal 5 days after
the result is final.
Why is there an age restrictions for 12 – 17 year olds to have access
to the Patient Portal?
There are laws that protect this patient population and to uphold those
laws, Lake Huron Medical Center and our portal provider Cerner chose to
restrict the access to the Patient Portal.
Who do I contact if I have questions about what I am viewing in the LHMC
Patient Portal?
- For Lab and Radiology results, please contact your primary care physician.
- For possible corrections such as missing or inconsistent information, please
call Health Information Management at 810-216-1540 for assistance.
Are radiology results available in the portal?
Yes, radiology results are viewable in the Patient Portal 5 days after
the result is final.
I forgot my password. What should I do?
Click the "Forgot Password" link on the sign-in page to reset
your password online. You can also call 1-800-324-8163 to request a new,
secure password.
I was logged out of the LHMC Patient Portal. What happened?
To protect your privacy and the security of your information, you will
be automatically logged out of the LHMC Patient Portal if your keyboard
remains idle for 20 minutes or more. For security and privacy purposes,
we recommend that you log out of your Patient Portal session if you need
to leave your computer for even a short period of time.
How do I deactivate my account?
You can contact the 24/7 support line at 800-324-8163 to have your account
deactivated.
Is the LHMC Patient Portal connected to any physician office patient portals?
No. The LHMC Patient Portal and the patient portal systems used by doctor’s
offices are separate and distinct systems that do not communicate with
one another. The Lake Huron Medical Center Patient Portal can only assist
you with health information related to your care at any of our LHMC facilities.
Can I share the LHMC Patient Portal with someone else?
You should use caution when sharing your private medical information with
anyone else, but if you decide to share that information – they
will need to use the same email and password that you use to log in to
the Patient Portal.
Is the LHMC Patient Portal secure?
We take great care to ensure that your health information is kept private
and secure. Access to information is controlled through a secure invitation
process, personal IDs and passwords. Each person controls his or her own
password, and the account cannot be accessed without that password. Furthermore,
the LHMC Patient Portal uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology
with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with the LHMC Patient Portal.
What is your Privacy Policy?
The LHMC Patient Portal is owned and operated by Lake Huron Medical Center
and Cerner Corporation. It is fully compliant with federal and state laws
pertaining to your privacy. Your name and e-mail address will be treated
with the same care and privacy given your health records, and will never
be sold or leased by LHMC.
