Lake Huron Medical Center is pleased to announce the appointment of Doru
Bali, MD, as Medical Director of the Emergency Department effective May 1, 2018.
In this role, Dr. Bali will oversee the administration and management of
emergency services provided in the Emergency Department (ED) at Lake Huron
Medical Center (LHMC).
Prior to joining the LHMC team, Dr. Bali served as the Vice Chief of Huron
Valley-Sinai’s Emergency Department where he was an active participant
in the Medical Staff Operations Committee, Clinical Advisory Group for
Emergency Medicine for Detroit Medical Center, Physician Leaders Committee,
ICU/Interventional Cardiology/Surgery Quality Improvement Committees,
Medicine Clinical Excellence Committee, and Pharmacy and Therapeutics
Committee. He was also actively involved in the development of Level 3
Trauma Designation Program working with the State of Michigan and hospital
administration to improve delivery of trauma services.

Dr. Bali received his medical degree from Wayne State University and completed
his residency in Emergency Medicine at Detroit Receiving Hospital. He
also earned a Physician Executive MBA from the University of Tennessee.
Dr. Bali is board certified by the American Board of Emergency Medicine
and an active member of the American College of Emergency Physicians,
the Society of Academic Emergency Medicine and the Michigan College of
