The Lake Huron Foundation would like to cordially invite the community
to attend its 2016 Vineyards of the World. A grand adventure that is sure
to tantalize your taste buds allows attendees to sample authentic wines
from around the world while helping to raise funds to directly benefit
the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health.
Vineyards of the World will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at Solitude
Links Banquet Center (formerly Fore Lakes Golf Club) in Kimball Township.
The event begins at 6:30 p.m. Tickets for the event at $75.00 per person
and can be reserved by calling the Lake Huron Foundation at 810-216-1102.
Exciting new releases from vineyards around the world have been added to
this annual event. Wines sampled will come from France, Spain, New Zealand,
Germany, Australia, Argentina, Italy, California, Washington and Michigan.
In addition to the wide variety of wines to sample, guests will also enjoy
mouthwatering gourmet dishes, hand-selected to enhance your wine tasting
experience. New to Vineyards of the World this year is a Scotch and Bourbon
tasting station. Featuring scotch that has been aged 10, 14 and 15 years
and bourbon aged 12 years. A heated cigar lounge and specialty beers from
around the globe will also be featured.
Vineyards of the World was created to raise funds for the Peoples’
Clinic for Better Health. The Peoples’ Clinic has been providing
care for the uninsured in our community for more than 25 years. Proceeds
from this event will support medical care for the uninsured and underserved
through the Peoples’ Clinic for Better Health. Community support
of the Lake Huron Foundation and the Peoples’ Clinic has contributed
to our success in reaching the most vulnerable members of our area.
“We could not begin to fund the Peoples’ Clinic at the level
we do without the continued and remarkable support from the community
and events like Vineyards of the World,” comments Laura Cottengim,
Director of the Lake Huron Foundation. “The care provided to those
most in need in our community is unmatched without the Peoples’
Clinic. Funding the vitally important piece of health care in our community
is a priority for the Lake Huron Foundation.”
