Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) celebrated its employees and volunteers
during a recognition event where the Employee and Volunteer of the Month
of December were announced.
The December 2016 Employee of the Month is Rita Lappin, RN. Rita is the
Manager of Clinical Analytics and Data Processing and has been employed
with LHMC since March of 1992. During LHMC’s recent transition to
a new electronic medical records system, Rita went above and beyond to
ensure a smooth implementation. She often visited staff and physicians
to assist, train and receive feedback.
The December 2016 Volunteer of the Month is Carolyn Crowe. Carolyn has
been volunteering with Lake Huron Medical Center since 2008 and is currently
the Director of the Heavenly Hounds program. Her commitment to providing
a high quality therapy dog program to our hospital is demonstrated through
the constant education and training she provides to the dogs and their
handlers. She recognizes the positive impact the dogs have on our patients
and staff and strives to provide the best.
Lake Huron Medical Center extends a special thank you to Rita Lappin and
Carolyn Crowe for making the Lake Huron Medical Center difference. If
you would like to nominate a physician, employee, or volunteer at Lake
Huron Medical Center, nomination forms can be found conveniently located
