Lake Huron Medical Center Announces Director of Wound Care and New Program Development

Lake Huron Medical Center (LHMC) is pleased to announce the appointment of Brian Smith as the hospital’s first Director of Wound Care and New Program Development. Brian will join the team on June 6, 2016.

Brian will be responsible for the implementation and growth of the Wound Care program and new program development. With more than 20 years’ experience in leadership positions including management and new program development we are thrilled that Brian has accepted this very important position.

"This position is only one of 50 to 60 positions we expect add to the organization over the next 12-15 months," shares Rebekah Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Lake Huron Medical Center. "As a member of the Prime Healthcare family, our approach to business is local – partnering with local organizations and employing members of our community to meet the health care needs of our local community."

Brian earned his B.A.A. in Public Health/Business Administration from Central Michigan University. He joins our team having 22 years of professional experience, with 20 years in health care management and program development.

Born and raised in the Blue Water Area, Brian and his wife of 21 years currently reside in Port Huron with their two children. When he has spare time, Brian enjoys spending time with family, sports, the outdoors, and traveling.

Brian is a highly driven individual and is committed to advancing the important services of our Wound Care program in addition to other new program initiatives. We look forward to the leadership, experience, and energy that Brian will undoubtedly bring to our organization.
